BOSTON UNIVERSITY | Beta Chapter, 1949The Beta Chapter at Boston University is a close-knit community with a shared passion for filmmaking. Whether it be giving back to local communities, collaborating together on set, or taking pictures at our Fall annual apple picking event, we always strive to find new and exciting opportunities that challenge and further us as industry professionals and artists of integrity. Follow us: UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY | Eta Chapter, 2013What we do best together is laugh, giggle, and make each other smile. Whether it's on set, at a social, or running into each other on campus, our close bonds are evident. We love to travel together, seen in our semesterly Retreats and annual Spring LA Trip where we venture south to reconnect with Alumni. Multicultural picnics and a weekly internal newsletter are other ways we develop and celebrate our chapter family. One of our main goals is to provide a supplemental space for Berkeley students to gain a production education that is lacking at the school. This is achieved through screenwriting and acting circles, a hands-on Cinema Literacy course as a Pledge, and creating on-set opportunities. Etas have been known to collaborate together in non-DKA spaces as well. The joy we find in working together is just that compelling. Eta is also currently the only chapter to have an in-house production company, created by past fraternal siblings as a way for Etas to become self-sufficient in paying their chapter dues. Follow us: UNIVERSITY OF TAMPA | Kappa Chapter, 2014 Kappa Chapter is located in the sunny city of Tampa, FL. As a chapter, we run successful scriptwriting circles and film trivia nights. We also love taking advantage of the sunshine by hammocking and setting our retreats on the beach. ITHACA COLLEGE | Pi Chapter, 2016The Pi Chapter is Ithaca College’s professional cinematic society, dedicated to forming strong bonds, connecting through a love of cinema and media, creating an equitable and diverse industry, and committed to local outreach. We focus on various events such as student and industry-led workshops, exciting film screenings, philanthropic events, and team bonding. We hope that as you get to know the Pi Chapter, you can see and feel the love and commitment we hold dear. It’s an environment that fosters creativity, knowledge, and most importantly, is a group of people that you can lean on during and after your undergraduate experience. Follow us: |
