ALLEN K. DALLAS ALUMNI RELATIONS AWARD – Multiple Awards

This award is presented to the individual who, Alumni Relations Chairperson, develops and implements the best alumni relations program for their chapter.  This award is named for Honored Founder and first leader of the Fraternity, Allen K. Dallas, who believed that the most important aspect of Delta Kappa Alpha is fellowship between undergraduates and alumni members. The National Awards Committee is responsible for preliminary judging with the National Council ratifying the winners. Judging is on an academic-year basis, as officers are elected between April 1 and June 1, according to the Constitution. This award is in the form of a scroll.

HERBERT L. STROCK AWARD – 1 Award

The Fraternity’s highest undergraduate honor, presented annually to the most outstanding graduating senior in Delta Kappa Alpha. The award, in the form of a scroll, memorializes former national president Herbert L. Strock, Southern California, Alpha Chapter, ’40, who as a graduating senior and chapter president drafted in August 1943, but remained the most selfless, hardest-working member in the Fraternity up until his flight and immediately upon his return.  After serving his country, he arrived home and immediately ran for National President.

The Jason Cortez Memorial Interchapter Award is awarded to undergraduate members who go above and beyond to foster interchapter connections. In his life, Jason worked tirelessly to form genuine connections and friendships with DeKAs across the country and maintained those friendships with a great deal of attention and care. We love honoring Jason’s legacy by recognizing students who share his same propensity for connecting others.
