DKA Awards

DKA Awards are presented at banquet during Convention. During banquet, we will recognize the highest achieving chapters, members, and alumni who have done outstanding work in their chapters and communities. Nominations are now open! Please read the award descriptions below, and nominate whomever you believe should receive this award. You are able to fill out nominations for multiple awards. Nominations deadline extended to May 31!

ALLEN K. DALLAS ALUMNI RELATIONS AWARD – Multiple Awards

This award is presented to the individual who, Alumni Relations Chairperson, develops and implements the best alumni relations program for their chapter.  This award is named for Honored Founder and first leader of the Fraternity, Allen K. Dallas, who believed that the most important aspect of Delta Kappa Alpha is fellowship between undergraduates and alumni members. The National Awards Committee is responsible for preliminary judging with the National Council ratifying the winners. Judging is on an academic-year basis, as officers are elected between April 1 and June 1, according to the Constitution. This award is in the form of a scroll.

HERBERT L. STROCK AWARD – 1 Award

The Fraternity’s highest undergraduate honor, presented annually to the most outstanding graduating senior in Delta Kappa Alpha. The award, in the form of a scroll, memorializes former national president Herbert L. Strock, Southern California, Alpha Chapter, ’40, who as a graduating senior and chapter president drafted in August 1943, but remained the most selfless, hardest-working member in the Fraternity up until his flight and immediately upon his return.  After serving his country, he arrived home and immediately ran for National President.

DELTA AWARD – 1 Award

Presented by the National Fraternity in recognition of outstanding service by an alumnus/alumna to their own chapter. A scroll is awarded. The alumnus/alumna must have served the chapter for a minimum of three years.

JACK H. MCCLELLAND UNDERGRADUATE MEMORIAL AWARD - 1 Award

This award, in the form of a scroll, is presented to the undergraduate, who, by their actions, has shown leadership and a true understanding of fellowship. It memorializes Honored Founder and First National President Jack H. McClelland. Candidates must have at least one year of school remaining to be eligible.
